NTT Data to set up a JV with BMW

PNSA advised NTT Data, a top 10 global business and IT services provider, on signing an agreement with BMW Group to set up a Joint Venture (JV) in Cluj-Napoca to enhance software competencies and foster digital transformation.

The JV is expected to hire around 250 software developers by the end of 2024 and plans to grow to a four-digit number of employees by 2027.

PNSA provided full-scope legal assistance services, from preliminary discussions and transaction structuring, up to transaction documents, negotiations and further assistance to signing. The execution of the JV agreement is pending review and approval by the relevant authorities.

PNSA team advising on the deal was led by M&A Partner Silviu Stoica, along with Mihaela Ion (Partner) and Laura Ambrozie (Managing Associate).
